Pre-press

Cost effective design service – Fisherstudios offers an in-house graphic design service from concept through to signed-off artwork. Our team of experienced designers can take a brief and produce concepts and layouts to the highest creative and commercial standards.
High resolution flat and drum scanning – we can take your photographs/images and scan them to produce high quality digital files and origination.
Added value proof reading/QC service – every job is checked for literal and grammatical errors before plates are produced.
Digital proofing – various digital proofing devices are available to produce single and multi-page proofs in low and high resolution formats.
Remote proofing – a remote proofing service via Fisher-online or e-mail, using, for example, PDF files, FTP (File Transfer Protocol) communication to help speed up the proofing process where appropriate.
CTP technology – our digital workflow system with CTP technology enables us to offer the maximum benefit to our customers in terms of quality, accuracy and turnaround.
Cataloguing and database storage – a database management service, where we establish electronic image libraries to manage our customer’s corporate identity, logos, templates, etc.

Printing

Single to six colour printing – quality printing presses from single colour to six colours plus coater.
SRA3 to B1 – small format SRA3 to large format B1 sheet size to handle various outputs
24 hour print production – we operate 24 hour print production on key presses, ensuring both efficiency and flexibility are achieved.
45gsm to 900 micron board – we are capable of processing a wide range of paper stocks to meet all our customer’s requirements, from thin pharmaceutical papers to the heaviest board.
Digital printing – digital printing presses for personalisation of variable data and sequential numbering. The presses also benefit from integrated finishing facilities including trimming, collating and stitching/stapling to produce instruction manuals, etc.
Colour Management System – a sophisticated Colour Management System on our larger presses allows us to measure and control colour tone and define an acceptable print quality to ensure consistency of colour and brand image.

Finishing

Folding capability – large format B1 folding to specialist miniature folding capability allows us to fold a leaflet with up to 16 folds down to a size of approximately 30mm x 30mm.
Unique stitching capability – we installed the first stitching line in the UK which is capable of collating and stitching a wide range of products in different shapes and sizes including miniature stitched booklets.
Direct mail facilities – our folding, inserting and envelope enclosing operation allows us to manage complete direct mail projects on behalf of our customers.
